![]() Disk Utility has shipped on all OS X versions in /Applications/Utilities folder. I'm stuck at the later for this particular machine, and have had no luck at all in wiping this machine. Secure Erase is documented in the Help menu of the Disk Utility application. Select your Drive and tap on Erase button. Go to Spotlight search and type Disk Utility. ![]() You can also check the storage consumption and delete them in partition also. ![]() These options are not needed for an SSD drive because a standard erase makes it difficult to recover data from an SSD. Disk Utility is an option for macOS to remove data completely from hard drive. How can I securely erase these things? I get lucky and sometimes the computer wakes up after I force sleep/wake the machine to try and "wake" the SSD, and sometimes, no matter what I try I cannot get it to wake up to finish to erase the SSD. Then select the SSD you want to wipe and choose Wipe Disk from the action panel. Run MiniTool Partition Wizard to get the main interface. ![]() Tip: This Copy Disk feature is also helpful in hard drive upgrade. With that being said, everything that we sell need to have the HDD either sanitized or destroyed, and our SSD's are wiped with Parted Magic ATA Secure erase. When the SSD has been backed up, you can continue with SSD erase. I work for a university surplus store, where data security is our number one priority, selling the products we fix is our second. ![]()
